Engineering Graduate Scholarship 2012 - ERDT Requirements and Qualifications


One of Graduate Scholarships for Engineering is ERDT (Engineering Research and Development for Technology). It's aim is to give Filipinos with BS and MS degree in Engineering or related field with funding support from the government through Department of Science (DOST) and Science Education Institute (SEI) which started in 2008.

One of the objective of the program is to develop the culture of Research and Development of the Filipino Engineers to uplift our Technology and Engineering practices.


ERDT Qualifications

To qualify for the Scholarship, the applicant must be

1. A Filipino citizen not more than 45 years old.
2. For MS, must have a BS degree in engineering or related field
3. For PhD, must have MS degree in engineering or related field
4. No other scholarship grant
5. Willing to render 1 year of service for every year of scholarship or a fraction thereof.
6. In good health and No criminal record.
7. Enrolled as full time graduate student.


ERDT Requirements

The following requirements should be submitted.

1. Curriculum Vitae with personal, educational and professional background.
2. Original and photocopy of the following: (a.) Transcript of records (b.) NBI Clearance (c.) NSO Birth certificate (d.) Medical certificate
3. Recommendations from 3 past Professors or supervisors.
4. A narrative describing your current project or work and your contribution towards it's completion (not more than 1000 words).
5.  A narrative describing what you intended to do after graduate study (not more than 500 words).
6. For PhD, a narrative describing your intended Research area.
7.  Deadline of Submission is April 30, 2012(First Semester) and September 15, 2012 (Second Semester) for Ateneo de Manila University, Cental Luzon State University, Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology, University of the Philippines Diliman, University of the Philippines Los Bańos and University of San Carlos.
8. For Mapua institute of Technology, April 30, 2012 (First Semester) and October 31, 2012 (Second Semester).
9. For De La Salle University, March 31, 2012 (First Term), July 31, 2012 (Second Term) and October 31, 2012 (Third Term).


ERDT Scholarship Privileges

For Masters Degree

1. Full Tuition Fee
2. P15,000 Stipend/Month
3. P5,000 book allowance/semester
4. P30,000 Thesis grant
5. P200,000 Research Grant

For Doctoral Degree

1. Full Tuition Fee
2. P23,000 Stipend/Month
3. P5,000 book allowance/semester
4. P60,000 Thesis grant
5. P400,000 Research Grant

Both MS and Doctoral Degree will have up to P10,000 Transportation allowance for whole scholarship.
