PAGASA 13th Typhoon for 2012 - MARCE Forecast Track |
Low Pressure Area (LPA) was developed into typhoon a few days ago and sighted by PAGASA 390 km West of Subic, Zambales as of 10 am October 5, 2012 inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
The new typhoon is expected to enter the PAR within the next 24 hours (already entered PAR) and will be called MARCE, the 13th typhoon to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility for 2012.

Forecast Track:
(1) 670 km West of Iba, Zambales - Saturday (Outside PAR)
Strength: 75 kph near center
Gustiness: 90 kph
Movement: West at 15 kph
Rain Volume: 10 - 25mm/hr (moderate to intense rain) within 500 km
Distance to Land: 390 km West of Subic, Zambales
The typhoon will enhanced Southwest monsoon (Habagat) and will continue to bring moderate to intense rains over Luzon.
