Affordable dual-core Android phones from our own local mobile brands are taken by storm for the past months. Do I have to say now that MediaTek M6577 dual-core processor became successful in democratization of Android smartphones in the Philippines? I think so.
Recently, MyPhone announced it's latest dual-core MyPhone A888 and A919 DUO and a lot of people had a hard time choosing between the two.
Let's compare the two latest smartphones so that you can decide which is the right one that suit your needs and lifestyle.
MyPhone A888 vs A919 DUO Price, Features and Specs Comparison
Price: MyPhone A888 DUO is selling at P7,499 (limited stocks) while A919 DUO is priced at P7,990 (on sale, SRP P9,499). A price difference of P491 that can buy an extra battery or accessories.
Features: Both are Dual SIM, Dual Standby, Dual Camera, FM radio, dual MIC noise reduction, GPS and 720p HD video recording capable. In addition, MyPhone A888 DUO features turn to mute function.
CPU: Both are running on Mediatek MT6577 Dual-Core processor
GPU: Integrated PowerVR SGX531
OS: Both runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

They are almost have the same specs except for display size and resolution, front camera and battery capacity.
If you really like high resolution screen and better front camera for video call, I recommend MyPhone A888 DUO for you.
On the other hand, A919 DUO large display is good for games and entertainment.

Specs are great but they should also use hard plastic case with scratch-resistant glass
jelly bean na po ata yung a888.
I just had this a888 and im using it for two weeks.my problem with this fon was its keep on going back to home when i am using facebook or other apps.and i need to take the battery out of it then insert again to be back to normal.my question is until when will i do this taking off the battery and return it back just to make sure that i can use this fon better.

I bought a919 last month... im very happy and satisfied with it... definitely the best... still running fast though i installed a lot of apps and games, good resolution and great pics...its 6999 only here in cebu..great phone

Does myphone a888 duo really have a usb otg support similar to the other MP units? According to the other blogs, it doesn't have. Thanks.
I had this a888 for a couple of months now, it's doing great, fast & very reliable. I just hope the company makes another version which has higher RAM, longer battery life & dragontrail glass.. called a888 hd.. More power guys!!
