How to Synchronize your Windows XP/7/8 Clock with PAGASA PST

PAGASA uses Rubidium Atomic Clock, Rb/GPSCV Time Transfer System to provide Time Service Unit (TSU) and set our Philippine Standard Time.

RA 10535 or The Philippine Standard Time (PST) 2013 is an act to display PST on all national, local government offices and schools in accordance with official time being provided by PAGASA using its network time protocol.

One of main mode by which PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) to disseminates PST is through internet and below are steps how to synchronize your computer PC Windows XP, 7 and 8 OS to Philippine Standard Time.


Steps to Synchronize your Windows XP, 7/8 Clock with PAGASA Philippine Standard Time NTP Server.


WINDOWS XP

Click Internet Time Tab on Date and Time Properties then set PAGASA NTP server on the text box as shown in the picture above.

1. Left Double Click your computer time at the bottom part, rightmost of your screen.
2. Date and Time Properties Dialog Box will be displayed.
3. Set your Timezone at GMT + 08:00. Click "Internet Time" Tab

After clicking the Update Now, wait for the synchronization to finished before closing the  Date and Time Properties box.

4. On the Server box, Type ntp.pagasa.dost.gov.ph then click Update Now.
5. Wait for a few seconds until synchronization with PAGASA server is done. Click Apply and OK.


WINDOWS 7 and 8

1. Click your computer time at the bottom part, rightmost of your screen.
2. Date and Time will be displayed. Set your Timezone at UTC + 08:00. Click "Internet Time" Tab and click change settings
3. On the Server box, Type ntp.pagasa.dost.gov.ph then click Update Now.
4. Wait for a few seconds until synchronization with PAGASA server is done. Click Ok, Apply and OK.


Note: Major cause of discrepancy are internet transmission and computer workload you are using. If you need more precise clock synchronization, please call (+632) 929-1237.
