The official PhilSys website provide us the legitimate information about the PhilSys registration and ID issuance.
PSA warns us not to trust any third parties and only disclose information to the official online registration platform found in the PhilSys portal. All information collected through the official PhilSys website is protected by law under the Data Privacy Act.
On the other hand, the PhilSys 3-step registration process is free of charge.
In our municipality, step 1 (encoding of personal information with my blood type plus presentation of supporting documents and valid ID) and step 2 (eye and fingerprint scanning and taking of picture) registration process is implemented all at once and it took me for at least 5 minutes to complete the process. I'm waiting for my Phil ID to be released (step 3).
My wife is trying the step 1 registration online and I want to share with you the step by step process below.
How to Register Online for PhilID / PhilSys ID (Philippine Identification System) for Step 1 Registration.
This online system is only open to resident Filipinos at this time.
1. There is NO NEED to proceed to register online for those who completed Step 1 registration through house to house collection to avoid issues on your registration.
2. Visit register.philsys.gov.ph (probably strong internet connection is needed here)
3. Provide your active email address or Philippine mobile number
4. Click CAPTCHA and click send OTP (one-time password).
5. Provide the OTP sent to your email or mobile number and click verify. OTP is valid for 5 minutes.
6. Follow the instructions carefully and fill up the given form with your personal information accurately.
Unfortunately, a technical error was encountered during the process. I'll update the procedure once completed.
