0G - Mobile Radio telephone
1G - First generation, introduced in 1980's and uses analog networks
2G - Second generation, launched in 1991, uses digital networks and enabled the used of SMS, picture messages and MMS.
3G - Third generation, enabled the use of wireless voice telephony, mobile internet, video calls and mobile TV with speed of at least 200 kbps. Globe 3G offers internet speed up to 384 kbps.
3.5G - upgraded 3G that support up to 21 Mbps speed.
4G/LTE - Fourth generation/Long Term Evolution, Globe LTE supports up to 42 Mbps speed.
