|ADMATEL Location - ITDI DOST Compound Bicutan, Taguig City|
Department of Science and Technology (DOST) introduces the opening of Advanced Device and Materials Testing Laboratory (ADMATEL) last January 8, 2013.
ADMATEL is a 24/7 testing facility that will provide local semiconductor and electronics industries with access to affordable testing services in the Philippines.
ADMATEL is located at DOST compound in Bicutan, Taguig City. It houses various advanced equipment such as,
ADMATEL Advanced Equipments:
1. Focused Ion Beam - Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FIB-FESEM) - Create a precise cross section of Integrated Circuit (IC) to expose the defect using Scanning Electron Microscope with Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX).
2. Auger Electron Spectroscope (AES) - Surface Analysis tool that determines elemental composition as a function of depth of the materials.
3. Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (ToF SIMS) - surface analytical tool capable of detecting molecular and elemental components of a sample.
The state of the art equipment's cost P280 million and is funded by the government.
It will enable the facility to assist companies in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries to enhance their productivity, improved their product quality and expand their technologies.
In addition, Filipino researchers, which is at par with foreign colleagues in terms of expertise and know-how, they can conduct research and training using this advanced testing laboratory without leaving our country.
