Torque Droidz AVATAR vs ATOM Price and Specs Comparison

Latest Torque Droidz AVATAR 5.0" display, slim design and rear camera with LED flash.

After the released of second cheapest dual-core Android phone Torque Droidz ATOM in the Philippine market, unheard of new Torque Android phone was included on PopTalk "Battle of Affordable Phablets" with Cloudfone Excite 500D and O+ 8.9.

Phablets are those smartphones with screen size ranging from 5 to 6.9 inches diagonal display and combined the functionalities of smartphones and tablets. They are optimized for internet access and multimedia functions due their large screens.

I expect that Torque Droidz BLAST, MOTION and LIFE will be available in the market first but I think AVATAR will be out this April 2013. If your fanatic with Torque, lets compare the two dual core powered droids.

Torque Atom is fine for its price range. The only problems I have are 3G (can browse initially but cant do anything else), horrid battery life, and reset your settings every time you reboot the phone. The worse case is the horrid after sales support and the very unaccommodating staffs (particularly SM Manila kiosk). But for a backup secondary android phone this is ok.

Thanks for feedback, what network are you using? Smart, Globe or Sun for 3G? You could try other networks.

For battery life, you can do Antutu battery test or try Temple Run 2 (Myphone A848i DUO 1600 mAh last 3.67 hrs playing on temple run 2)- http://gb-sb.blogspot.com/2013/03/myphone-a848i-duo-1600-mah-battery-test.html
