Alcatel OT 997D vs Lenovo P700i/S560 Price and Specs Comparison

Latest Alcatel OT 997D EXPLORE vs Lenovo P700i and S560 - Battle of Dual-Core Android Phones

Latest smartphone from the market is One Touch OT 997D EXPLORE, the first dual-core Android phone of Alcatel and the question is why only now?

All other mobile brands have dual-core in their line up including Sony Xperia U (P10,300), HTC Desire X (P13,750), Lenovo P700i/S560, MyPhone A919 DUO (P7,990), Cherry Mobile TITAN (P6,499)StarMobile ASTRA (P6,990) and Cloudfone Thrill 430x (P7,777).

So, how will Alcatel EXPLORE compete with dual-core powered Android phones mentioned above?

I choose to compare Alcatel OT 997D with Lenovo P700i/S560 because they are running on the same MediaTek dual core processor and they are both Chinese OEM company.

P700i and S560 have almost the same specs except for 2 things. Difference between the two includes, Lenovo S560 feature a Dolby Digital Plus Technology and dual speakers in trade of lower battery capacity (2000 mAh).

On the other hand, P700i has 2500 mAh rated battery capacity for enterprise, call and internet heavy usage.

Battery:  1800 mAh (OT997D), 2500 mAh (P700i), 2000 mAh (S560)

Well, Alcatel OT 997D is more expensive than Lenovo P700i/S560 and it is due to some stand out features including high RAM (1 GB) and 8MP camera with LED flash. It is also has larger screen and a little thinner than it's competitor.

Alcatel EXPLORE dual-core and 1 GB RAM is best for Android Ice Cream Sandwich and possibly with Jelly Bean upgrade so, adding a little extra money for Alcatel is definitely the best option to do if your thinking to get a Lenovo P700i or S560.

In the end, choosing the right smartphone depends on you lifestyle. If you like a high capacity battery for calls, internet and games then I suggest P700i. If you like Dolby sounds and your a music lover, Lenovo S560 is a must.
