PAGASA Typhoon PABLO 3 Days Forecast Track - Threatens Ilocos Provinces |
Typhoon PABLO with International name "BOPHA" is sighted 230 km West of Sinait Ilocos Sur as of 4 pm December 8, 2012.
Previously, it is forecast to move West Northwest at 22 kilometers per hour (kph) and possibly to enter Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this Sunday evening (December 2) and will be called PABLO - the 16th Typhoon to enter PAR for 2012. (Already inside PAR)

Forecast Track:
(1) 50 km North of Aparri, Cagayan - Sunday
(2) 320 km East of Basco, Batanes - Monday
(3) 550 km Northwest of Basco, Batanes - Tuesday
Strength: 130 kph
Gustiness: 160 kph
Movement: East Northeast at 17 kph
Rainfall Volume: 15-25mm/hr (heavy to intense) within 400 km.
Distance from Land: 230 km West of Sinait Ilocos Sur
Landfall: Davao Oriental (December 4, 5 am), Cagayan de Oro/Negros (December 4, 12 noon), 3rd landfall on Roxas, North Palawan (December 5, 8 am), and possibly 4th landfall on N.Luzon.
Provinces with public storm signal#1 and #2 are alerted against possible landslides and flashfloods especially those living in low lying and mountainous areas.
Fishing boats and other sea vessels are not advised to venture out into the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and Western Seaboard of Southern Luzon.
